The main ingredient of the Majoor sauce is habanero pepper with its fruity, floral, sweet flavour; crunchy, and bursting with pungency and high level of spice. The taste of habaneros is not comparable to any other chilli and is very hot. They typically measure between 100,000–350,000 Scoville Heat Units on the Scoville Scale.

We make All Bokbaard Brandsous Sauces from quality raw ingredients grown in South Africa. The peppers and chillies are used fresh and are not dried. Rather than cooking the sauce, it is fermented and pickled to reach a pH level below 4. Bokbaard Brandsous Kaptein contains no sugar, no oil and no gluten and is vegetarian-friendly. Natural xanthan gum thickens, stabilizes and emulsifies the sauce.
